Self-catering, contactless, on the seafront. No queue at reception, no "the kitchen's closed, sir", no view of a concrete car park. Your room, your door code, the sea out the window, two full kitchens if you fancy cooking, a five-minute walk to the bars and chippies if you don't.

Built around the working week
Most hotels are built for tourists who check in at three and want a glass of wine at six. You're not that. You're in at half nine, up at five, and you'd quite like a hot shower, a clean bed, your own four walls, and somewhere to dump your boots. The Norton is built for that.
Door codes mean you let yourself straight in, whatever the hour. No reception to slow you down. No one to wait up.
It's a 200-year-old Victorian building — sound travels, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we do about it: earplugs in every room as standard, and quiet hours after 10pm so the place settles down when you do. En-suite rooms, most with sea views. Up at 5am is manageable when the night before wasn't a battle.
Singles for solo weeks. Twins and doubles when the lads are on the same job. Same easy check-in either way.
Working away, week in week out
"I've been staying in the Norton Hotel Sunday–Friday every week for work for the past 2 months. The rooms are always well kept, beds are comfy, nice warm shower and the additional facilities such as kitchen areas, laundry and other amenities are all spot on. You open your curtains to the sea in the morning. Lovely location run by good people."
Contactless. By design.
Every guest gets a code that opens the front door and their own room. That's it. No queue behind a stag-do at half ten. No "we'll be with you in a moment". No awkward small talk after a 60-mile drive. Arrive when you arrive. Leave when you leave.
If your firm books for a rolling crew, we set up codes for each new starter ahead of time. Hand-overs take seconds.

Important, this bit
The third-party sites take their cut. We'd rather give that back to you. Book direct on the hotel website, or drop the team an email, and you'll get the best rate we can do. Always. No code to remember, no offer to time, just direct.

A USP, not a missing feature
No 7am cut-off. No queue for the toaster. No "sorry, kitchen's closed". The Norton is a self-catering hotel, which is contractor speak for: you eat when you want, what you want. Two fully equipped kitchens, big fridge-freezers with proper room for your shop, plenty of dry storage, hobs, ovens, microwaves, kettles. Stick a stew on at half ten. Bang a curry in the oven. Have a fry-up at 4am if your shift starts at five.
Or don't cook. We're a five-minute walk from chippies, takeaways, bars and restaurants. Order in for the crew and eat together in the communal area. The hotel flexes around your week, not the other way round.
The view from your bed
We sit directly on the seafront at Seaton Carew. The majority of rooms look out over the beach and the bay rather than a delivery yard or a Premier Inn car park. It's a small thing, until you've spent a fortnight in a shared house with one bathroom and the kitchen window facing the bins.
200-year-old building. To borrow a line from our own flyer: longer than whatever you're building up the road.

What's on site

Small car park right next to the hotel. Walk from the van to your room in under a minute.

No padding down a corridor at 5am. Your shower, your room, your business.

Fancy a frame and a chat with the lads? Games room is yours. Fancy your own four walls? That's there too.

Stream a film, fill in your timesheets, video-call home. It works without you having to think about it.

Washing machine, tumble drier, iron. If you need pressed kit for tomorrow's shift, we've got you covered.

Communal area set up so the crew can order in, eat together, then have the rest of the night to yourselves.

It's a Victorian building and sound travels — we won't pretend otherwise. Earplugs in every room as standard. Quiet hours from 10pm so the place settles down when you do. Up at 5am is a lot easier when the night before wasn't a battle.

Proper blackout blinds in every room. Whether you're on a 5am start or a night shift sleeping through the afternoon, the room goes dark when you need it to.

Every guest gets their own individually issued door code. No one is walking into your room by mistake — and no one off the street is walking into the building either. The whole hotel is keypad-access only.
Off the clock
Seaton Carew is a proper seaside village. Chippies, pubs, takeaways, a cafe or two. Nothing flash, nothing far. When you don't feel like cooking, you don't have to walk far to sort yourself out.
